Carbon Poker (Merge Network) Ups the Ante

Increased Rakeback - Great News!
Effective midnight April 15th, Carbon Poker is increasing their rakeback payments from 30% to 35% for all players using their rakeback program.  Players need do nothing, Carbon Poker will automatically increase your daily rakeback payment to 35%.

All Merge skins are affected by this network decision.  For example, if you are currently earning rakeback at Aced Poker or Poker Nordica, you will automatically begin earning the additional rakeback.

Players Only Announces Move to Merge Network

Players Only Poker have announced their intention of moving over to Merge from the Cake Network this week.
What this means for players....
  • More rakeback!  Players will now receive 35% paid daily instead of the 33% paid under the Cake Network system.
  • Merge Network will see a massive overnight increase in player volume!  More players = more action!
  • Higher payouts on their guaranteed tournaments!

This is all very good news for players who enjoy the Merge software but wanted to see more action at the tables.  Poker players on the Merge Network can expect to see traffic virtually double this week!

Merge's Gain is Cake's Pain

The Cake Poker Network receives nearly all of it's traffic from Doyle's Room, Players Only, Sportsbook.com and their flagship brand, Cake Poker.  With the loss of Players Only and their sister site, Sportsbook.com, Cake will need to pull out all the stops if they want to retain their current share of the market.  It will be an interesting year for poker players.  There should be some great incentives coming your way from Cake Poker and Doyle's Room as they try to stop the bleeding.  This can only benefit you, the player!
